We are in the middle of a Full Experience branding project for a new TexMex restaurant, Austin Cantina, opening September 1st in the Ballard District. We are really excited to be working with Jefe and the Cantina crowd. Their principles and goals are outstanding (as copied from their blog):
To serve wholesome and tasty food that honors the values of sustainability, service and fairness, to do so in a profitable way that balances the interests of our customers, employees, owners and business partners/suppliers.
What our values mean;
Sustainability means that the food we serve will be farmed or raised in a sustainable way, prioritizing organic values, that menu choices will consider diversity over mono-culture.
Service is the highest calling of a human being, our soldiers and elected representative serve our country, service is the way that we meet the needs of others in our community. That includes customers as well as employees and the society in which business exists.
Fairness means treating others in a just, moral and “right” way, and meeting the implicit and explicit expectations that our community and stakeholders have of us.
This business is intended to have a profound and positive impact on its community through providing jobs, purchasing goods, and providing healthful sustenance. Our social responsibility does not place our business values in opposition to the environment and community, but it is integrated with our business model. We have an opportunity to influence eating habits, agriculture, waste management, health awareness and many other components of the commercial food chain, and intend to do so in a positive direction. The client already had a logo he really liked that he felt reflected the feeling of Texas to him. We felt the primary red and blue colors were a bit stark, not quite warm enough or inviting for food-oriented graphics for a mid-level clientelle restaurant - so we warmed the red and blue up a bit. Much more reflective and inviting of it's purpose now.
This project is logo to interiors so we are keeping busy. I am co-designing with my venture partner, Star Morris. We are in process of creating a biz name for ourselves since we seem to keep doing projects together! Just makes good sense :)
Our list for this project involves:
Logo revision
Business cabinet
Grand opening sign
Promo postcard
Tabletop Cards for catering
ToGo box stickers
Website
Interior decor
Watch for the finished project here on EcoKind Design blogspot!
And don't forget to join us for delicious tex mex cuisine at the grand opening on September 1st!
